Subject line: Help me meet my goal!

Dear Kate,

As you might know, I’ve been volunteering to help three great state legislative candidates in North Carolina: Dr. Frances Jackson, Brian Farkas, and Ricky Hurtado. We have a chance to flip the state legislature blue on Nov 3, and if we do, Democrats will draw the next decade of electoral maps in the state & it’s pedal to the metal for progressive policy. Big deal.

I’m writing to invite you to donate $25-50 to help our candidates build winning voter turnout programs. 100% of what you donate will be split between the candidates’ campaigns.

I am personally reaching out to my friends and family to try to raise $1000 for these amazing North Carolina candidates by Sept 15. Can you help me get there?

With warm wishes—and onward to Democratic victories!

Many thanks,

p.s. Why North Carolina: In my view, North Carolina is the most important state in the nation this election year — investing in these particular candidates right now will not only help flip the NC state legislature blue but drive votes up the ticket to beat Trump, Tillis (a must to take back the US Senate), and re-elect Dem Governor Cooper. More on our strategy and candidates here.
