Sister District San Francisco

City of San Francisco

About our team

We never give up—we get creative!

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sister District San Francisco will not be holding any in-person events through at least May 10th. We're planning more virtual happenings soon, and we'll all figure out this new way of working together.

Sister District San Francisco volunteers work with campaigns to help with fundraising, phonebanking, canvassing, texting, and writing postcards and letters. If you got this far you probably already know that Sister District Project is all about giving those of us in blue areas a chance to support great candidates for state elections across the United States where our help can make a real difference.

The San Francisco team is one of the largest and most active Sister District chapters. We work hard and we have fun doing it! We have citywide special events, and monthly meetings in our six neighborhood hub groups:

  • Marina / Pacific Heights
  • Glen Park and Beyond
  • Central SF
  • Avenues (Richmond District and Sunset)
  • SoMa / Mission Bay / Potrero Hill
  • Northeast SF

There will be no regular neighborhood hub meetings in April. We expect to resume our monthly meetings in May (most likely virtually for a while longer).

Upcoming Events

In 2020, Sister District San Francisco is supporting two candidates in Arizona and two candidates in Texas. We're excited about building blue majorities in the Southwest. This year we can flip the Texas House and both state legislative chambers in Arizona!

We’re getting starting now with early money fundraising for our candidates, and we'll be moving on to phonebanking, postcards, letters, and texts as soon as the campaigns are ready for us. There will be lots of opportunities to join in, so stay tuned for more information.
