We are now in the exact scenario we expected and planned for: millions of votes remain to be counted, and we don’t yet have confirmation in the presidential race. Don’t panic! We will let the process play out as intended, and ultimately, the will of the people will be heard.

Even though we are eager for an official call, we know that every vote must be counted. The good news is that Americans have voted in record-breaking numbers to move forward and tackle our nation’s greatest challenges. Joe Biden has a clear lead and path to victory. What matters right now is that we stay calm, listen to the facts, and trust the process.

There are still votes to be counted in state races too, but we are excited to share the  hard-fought Sister District wins that we know so far, including:

  • Deb Andraca (WI AD-23)
  • Sara Rodriguez (WI AD-13)
  • Robyn Vining WI AD-14
  • Christine Morse (MI HD-61)
  • Laurie Pohutsky (MI HD-19)
  • Ann Johnson Stewart (MN SD-44)
  • Sarah Crawford (NC SD-18)
  • Brian Farkas (NC HD-9)
  • Ricky Hurtado (NC HD-63)
  • Ann Johnson (TX HD-134)
  • Nancy Guenst (PA HD-152)
  • Alumnus Sean Bowie (AZ LD-18)
  • Alumna Padma Kuppa (MI HD-41)

We’ll be updating our social media feeds and website with further results as they come in, and we will continue to send out alerts via text message (text NOV3 to (833) 602-8124 if you’d like to sign up!). And, please join our 2020 Election Debrief call on Tuesday, November 10!

There will be a lot to unpack about this election. Right now, more than anything, we are thankful for the incredible Sister District community. It has been an honor to fight for the future we believe in by your sides. No matter what happens, hope will continue to burn brightly, and we will continue to push for progress together.

We also want to recognize the amazing local election officials who have been on the front lines to ensure the integrity of our elections. These folks have been working around the clock to deliver results, in the midst of a pandemic and record-breaking voter turnout.

In short, take heart! We have many wins ahead, and we have a community of fellow activists and friends who have been in and continue to be in this fight together. We will send additional updates as we have more information.

Stay strong,

– The SDP Team
